Essential Job Duties and Requirements

  • Research new bid opportunities both public and private
  • Perform field walk through surveys as required for new sales opportunities
  • Provide complete and accurate project estimates
  • Develop bid specific proposal and scope letters
  • Develop change order proposal letters
  • Aid in branch growth by actively communicating with customers and engineers
  • Collaborate with the sales team as required by the position to achieve maximum results

Construction & Control Systems Project Management

Essential Job Duties and Requirements

  • Confirms product performance by reviewing project specifications, studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
  • Assists and/or leads project management
  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Controls the project by reviewing the design, specifications, plans and schedule changes and recommend / implements appropriate actions.
  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering subcontractor contracts.
  • Maintains project data base.

Valued Skills & Experience

  • Industry experience in building automation, HVAC and/or direct digital control systems of 2+ years
  • Proficient in Microsoft office including outlook, word and excel.

Application Engineering and Programming

Essential Job Duties and Requirements

  • Develops project objectives and engineering designs by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management
  • Aids in the design and development of equipment and systems programming and engineering
  • Confirms programming and product performance by reviewing project specifications, studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards
  • Assists and/or leads project programming designs or engineering
  • Tests and troubleshoots program functionality for conformance with the project plan and industry standards
  • Maintains the project data base
  • Supports field technicians as required via remote access or telephone
  • Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as required by management
Technical Supervision

Essential Job Duties and Requirements

  • Assist and/or act as the lead programmer using block programs or plc applications and diagnose test and troubleshoot master databases on designated projects.
  • Perform startup, service and/or training as required and as dictated by the current demand and workload.
  • Provide appropriate field support, troubleshooting, testing, debugging and operational support for engineering to aid in identifying operational efficiency or issues.
  • Act as a technical liaison to all in house automation control technicians doing start up, warranty, or service work.
  • Perform preliminary testing and start up project inspections to verify and ensure equipment is being installed properly and in a professional manner.
  • Perform ongoing project commissioning inspections to insure that job progress transpires efficiently and that quality control is being followed.
  • Work directly with the service department to troubleshoot and/or lend direction to solving service related issues on a daily basis.  Advise on scheduling of personnel based on intimate project knowledge and personnel capabilities.
  • Provide customer support utilizing remote monitoring project access including professional documentation and diagnostics.
  • Provide customer training and support both on site and remotely.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to act as the company liaison in all field situations both directly and indirectly with customers and building occupants.
HVAC, Combustion and Building Control Technicians

Essential Job Duties and Requirements

  • High School/Vocational School Diploma.
  • Hold valid driver’s license.
  • Must be physically fit, capable of lifting 50 lbs and climbing stairs and ladders as well as standing or kneeling for extended periods of time.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the HVAC field.
  • Self-motivated and capable of completing job tasks with minimal supervision and beyond regular hours as required.
  • Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
  • Proficient in using a computer for a variety of tasks
  • Have a working knowledge of computer based Building Management System software including Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson or Tridium Niagara based systems.
  • Inspects, recalibrates and observes the operation of thermostats, heating/cooling controls, safety devices, and other related devices.
  • Work efficiently independently or within a team.
  • Be able to interact and communicate with customers and peers as the project demands.
  • Be reliable, punctual and professional.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Valued Skills & Experience

  • Have a working knowledge of refrigeration equipment, ventilation fans, exhaust fans, vav’s, unit ventilators, hot water heating systems, chilled water systems, steam and hot water boilers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office including outlook, word and excel.
  • Possess an understanding of networking and IT related systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
